Elderberry Natural Blue Hair Dye Recipe
Mix one cup lemon juice with three cups of chamomile tea. Pour the mixture over the dampened strand or stands of hair you want to streak. Sit out in the sun if possible and wait one hour before shampooing thoroughly. This will bleach the areas you want to turn blue. While you can dye darker hair, you won't get a very strong blue because blue is also a dark color. Therefore, unless you're a natural blond, start by stripping your own pigment off your hair.

Boil one cup of elderberries covered with water in a saucepan. Add a pinch of salt and let cook for ten minutes, stirring occasionally. Then let the mixture cool.
3
Apply the elderberry mixture to your hair strands, saturating them thoroughly. Then wrap the hair in plastic wrap and allow the natural dye mixture to sit for at least ten minutes, although you may see deeper shades and better saturation by letting it sit longer up to an hour.
4
Repeat the process only with less water in the elderberry mixture if your original dye did not give you a strong enough shade. You may have to play around with the concentration until you find what works best for your hair.
*Elderberries can be purchased online or in your local health food grocery stores. You may also use powdered elderberries which can be purchased online or in your local health food grocery stores as well.
