TONIGHT / SATURDAY/ 7/24/21 repost from @metafour7up bit.ly/MSI-estamos-conectados The San Isidro Movement (MSI) and the Museum of Graffiti in Miami invite you to the event "We are Connected" on Saturday July 24 from 7:00 pm to 10:00 pm at the Museum of Graffiti in Wynwood (FREE BEER). This event is dedicated to the Cuban activists and art-istivists who are today imprisoned for raising their voice against the dictatorship on the island. At this event, local artists Meta4 and Duo will be dedicating a mural to Maykel Castillo (Maykel Osorbo) and to all prisoners of conscience in Cuba. Works by other artists who have donated their work to MSI's cause will be auctioned off. These artists have used art as an instrument of resistance against oppressive systems, just as Maykel Osorbo has raised his voice and his fist from Hip-Hop. Towards the end of the night we will have the performance of RasSandino, founding member of MSI and singer of Cuban Hip-hop / Reggae; Serum, Haitian American Hip-Hop MC; Apex305 (UB) a Cuban-American rapper from Miami's old school; Luis Eligio from OMNI / Proactive; among others. Together, we will unite our voices in the same way that Maykel did in the song, now an anthem of struggle, Patria y Vida to denounce the repression in Cuba and support our own. We're connected!
