August 3rd is #EstherDay, a day to celebrate and express the non-romantic love for friends and family. Tell the people you love that you love them!! Every day, I am constantly amazed by the endless love and support I feel from my friends and family. My deep and close friendships keep me going through everything life throws at me, and I never want my feelings to go unsaid. To my friends and family: I appreciate you, I'm grateful for you, and I love you. Esther Day was started in honor of Esther Earl, who passed away at the age of 16 in 2010 from thyroid cancer. Her parents, Lori and Wayne, founded This Star Won't Go Out (@tswgo), a non-profit organization that gives grants to families of children with cancer. Expressing our deepest feelings of gratitude and love is difficult, especially for the constants in our lives that we often take for granted. I am always so immensely grateful for the consistent love and support from my friends and family. Words never seem to be enough to express how much I appreciate the deep connections and close friendships I lean on through the best days, the worst days, and all the days between. But nothing is guaranteed, so saying the words matters: I thank you, I appreciate you -- I love you. Because it's Esther Day, and because we as a culture don't say it nearly often enough, I wanna say a big ol' platonic "I love you" to my followers, my mutuals, and especially my friends. And a big ol' romantic "I love you" to my girlfriend.

Esther Day is August 3, the birthday of Esther Earl. She was a Nerdfighter and a girl my age with a big heart, who passed away from cancer in 2010. She wanted fellow Nerdfighters to remember her by celebrating her birthday as a day to remind your friends and family that you love them.

So in honor of Esther, and because I really do mean it, I love you. You're all unique and wonderful in your own ways and I am glad to have so many amazing people in my life. (Yes, even you. Especially you.)

So go out there and tell someone you care about, that you do, because even if you think they know, it's nice to be reminded. ❤💛💚💙💜🌟
