is 3.33 worth watching in your opinion? because 1 and 2 were rlly disappointing for me and i wanna kno if i should bother spending the time
Haha, probably not, then? I’m still trying to form an opinion about its actual quality and merit, but one criticism I read observed that it didn’t really advance the story past where 2.0 ended, or past the midway point of End of Evangelion. Very nice visuals, cool character redesigns, some high-quality Shinji sadstuck, a more original plot than the other two movies, and more Kaworu/KawoShin than in the entire original TV series put together (not that that’s hard), but there’s a ton of metaphysical mechanics bullshit bogging down the narrative imo, and I wouldn’t say that any of the characters, especially the female ones, get character development. It’s only an hour and a half, but if you didn’t like the other ones this probably isn’t worth it.
