Got an idea for Fast 9 and Hobbs and Shaw 2:

So now that we know Han is alive, let’s say Han explains that he was pulled out of his car before it blew up. When Dom asks where he’s been for the past few years, Han says he was laying low due to the heat from Deckard Shaw’s rampage and Cipher going after the crew. But then, after Fast 9 ends, we get a post-credits scene revealing that Han lied about his survival. He never crawled out of the car but he did barely survive the explosion. He survived his wounds by being rebuilt by Eteon in the same way Brixton Lore was turned into a super-soldier.

(side note, I really want Universal to go with their original plan and have Keanu Reeves make a cameo appearance as Eteon’s leader. Just imagine, the credits roll, then suddenly, we get a scene where Han enters a room and sees Keanu on the other side with a sinister grin on his face)

For Hobbs and Shaw 2, the story is focused on Han trying to escape Eteon. Han says that Eteon forced him into their service based on his past actions (referencing why Han refused to go back to Tokyo until after Gisele died). To fully redeem Deckard Shaw, Shaw is the one to suggest to Hobbs that they must keep Han alive. So with this set-up, Han takes over Hattie Shaw’s role as the tritagonist.

(Hattie still appears but not in the same capacity as Han is the main focus)

So apparently, Keanu Reeves was supposed to make a cameo appearance in Hobbs and Shaw as the main villain. He was going to be revealed as the Eteon director, sorta along the lines of Thanos’ reveal in the first Avengers movie.

That would’ve been extremely cheesy but it would’ve really made the movie for me, had Keanu actually did the cameo appearance.
