“ethan-8 answered: Emma is becoming braver than before because of Regina,she’s starting to trust herself enough to “fight” for someone,she isn’t hiding behind her walls anymore,she isn’t that little girl who spent nights and days waiting for someone to take her,love her and keep her,she’s now a grown woman who had enough of being scared,of being the one who gets chased,she’s not afraid of being the one who do that,she’s ready to take the lead, she’s ready to let go of her insecurities and step forward.the girl who used to run away from people is now willing to stay and reach out to Regina,remember Emma ,the person who is/was let down and abandoned by people,the person who knows exactly what unhappiness,loneliness,injustice mean,that same person now refuses to let Regina go through all of that, the person who everyone wants to get their hands on ,the person who chooses to hide behind her walls to prevent them to get close,that SAME person had opened her heart to Regina the first night they met,and just recently has shared a piece of her past with her.Emma spent her life needing someone to love her,to look at her like she’s the world and be there for her, so when she looks now at regina ,she sees herself,she sees someone who wants the same things as her, that’s why she tries to give regina all the things she wants/wishes.and that’s where Emma’s strength comes from: loveEmma is love, and love is strength,that’s what saved Emma from cora,Emma is strong when she’s the one who shows/acts love,when she’s the one who fights for love,Emma’s love saved henry,made her choose him,it was her love for him that gave her bad feelings about Henry/pan body swap,because you know the people you love,you know them deeply in your heart,you understand them,you read them like an open book,just like Emma knew Regina wasn’t responsible of zelena’s curse,just like when she believed mary margaret.Snow is home,David is home,Henry is home..she fought for them all, in neverland when snow cruelly told her that she can’t live without her husband,Emma’s first reaction was to reach out for her,she didn’t act like a hurt teenager ,or shut her down or push her away,no,(even though she has right to) she reached out for her parents,she refused to be separated from them,because they’re home,they’re the thing she always wanted,that’s Emma when she’s fighting for thing she loves,she doesn’t play the “my walls are up” card,she realized how much she misses/needs her parents,and didn’t miss a chance to go back to them, same thing for henry,he was always the only thing that matters to her,that time when she nearly lost her son bcoz she lied about his father ,she didn’t give up ,she fought for his forgiveness ,begged him not to push her away,all of this..because of love,Emma is like that when she loves,she doesn’t hide it,she proves it,she shows how vulnerable she is, she gives herself for love.that’s her strength,you need to understand this character,her background,her reactions,her everything ,to fully understand how much she’s doing the same thing for Regina,Regina is home,for Emma,Regina is home too,she’s family,she raised her son,she’s connected to her parents,she’s her magical partner,she’s storybrook,she’s fighting for her,but why?, because regina is home,just like david,snow,henry,she’s home.Emma doesn’t fight for anyone just like that,she doesn’t believe in anyone just like that,she does it with who she sees as..Home.what Emma did for the charmings, did it as well for Reginait was in the same perfect orderfirst she was angry,she lashed out at her, then she believed her,and sometimes she got all cold on her,then she believed her her again,she trusted her,she fought for her,she didn’t give up on her, and finally she admitted she wanted regina to be her friend,she added Regina along with david,snow,henry .so yes,Regina is home too..Regina wants to be free,to be happy,but she also wants something real.they took her freedom,her innocent,she was a victim ,a toy in rumple’s and cora’s hands,she made some shitty decisions on her own as well, she became the evil queen..someone who wants a happy ending no matter what.she’s now a redeemed person,but still looking for happiness, she believes she deserves it,it’s like she’s seeking justice to herself,lucky for her..she found it.she got one,technically ..she succeeded.she finally had a happy ending “waiting with open arms”,someone she calls true love,soulmate..it doesn’t matter, it’s a happy ending after all,it’s funny bcoz…it took her ages to become an evil queen ,years of torture,manipulation,sacrifices.fireballs weren’t a gift you know, she had to learn,to kill,she had to endure rumple’s twisted mind to be fully in control of her magic.even Henry ,he wasn’t an easy task as well, it took her so much effort and tears and pain „and time to finally have him with her.and let’s not forget about her redemption, it didn’t happen in one night, she had to go through a lot to get rid of the evil queen..and is still doing her best to stay good.she’s real with henry,with herself ..she decided to come clean.THIS all explains the white magic,the happy memories,it felt real, you can taste the sweetness of her redemption,she earned it.So we can say Regina is now…free right?..she’s free,and henry is real,her redemption is real, especially after episode 10,the evil queen died..long live regina mills.she’s free..and always will be.now,let’s get back to the core of regina’s characterRegina wants to be free,to be happy,but she also wants something real.is her “happy ending” real?,if we compared henry,magic,evil queen,redemption to her current “happy ending”,does it feel real?no, not all , especially when regina herself said “i want to be free” “I make my own destiny”, it’s ironic isn’t it..the thing about Regina is that she seeks happiness,she’s looking for it ,this obsession made her forget about the true form of happiness, what is happiness to regina anyway?we can tell by the way she reacts to the true love couples (eye rolls,snarky comments), she WANTS that,she thinks that happiness is to have that as well, to have a “happy ending” just like snow,ariel…butCHARMING was love not just a happy ending,Snow fell in love with HIM..with david charming himself, not with the idea of a happy ending,snow x charming is a love story that eventually has a happy ending,not a happy ending without a love story.still, with regina and her SM..we are not watching a love story,there was no “i feel in love with you”, the other half is existing because of a pixie dust,he’s there because regina believes he’s her happy ending before even falling in love with him,he’s not real,he’s a “that’s written for me” kind of happy ending.that’s what makes it easy,safe and not real at all..and that’s why it won’t last, what’s comes easy goes easy..and hurt less,Regina is tired of being alone,and just wants to have the same things as everyone else,she doesn’t care anymore if this is a written destiny,this happy ending plot is a safe option you see,it doesn’t hurt much when it’s lost bcoz you can find it again “screw everything else and let me have my happy ending”, that’s why she was holding onto her SM, AND it’s also why she regained her smile when she found the empty book at the end of this half season, it’s always the same thing with regina,it’s not about her partner, she just wants to be happy,give her a happy ending and she won’t even protest with whom,she’s not even looking for love,”just a little happy ending please”..so the thought of finding the book brought her hope up again.that’s what makes it sooo..not real.Daniel told her to “love again”, not to find a happy ending, Daniel’s quote “love again” , still didn’t happenRegina’s love story is not told yet, because we still haven’t seen Regina “falling for SOMEONE” regina needs a love story.regina needs to feel sad and hurt because she lost THE PERSON, not the THING,she needs to look at the PERSON and sees THEM, not just THE IDEA of them being her happy endingRegina needs to cry because she doesn’t have THE PERSON anymore…not just a happy endingRegina needs to be scared and terrified because what she feels for THE PERSON is not safe not easy,against destiny,against fate,against everythingRegina deserves to fall in love first..Regina needs to feel the pain of loosing THE PERSON, them them them, THEM..and not just..a happy ending that can be replaced.Regina needs to have something real, so real that she’s terrified of losing it, of saying it,of admitting it...Emma is real,Emma is “anger”,Emma is “pain”,Emma is “hurt”,she is “danger”, she is “threat”, she is “happiness”,she is “friendship”,she is “love”she brought all of that in Regina since day 1she’s real.Emma is not destiny,she’s not fate,she’s not a soulmate,or a happy ending,but Emma is “magic”,Emma is “goodness”,Emma is “shitty parents”,she’s “terrible past”,she’s “motherhood”,she’s “trust issues”,she’s “loneliness”,she’s “misunderstanding”,she’s “insecurities” she’s everything that makes her Regina’s other half. perfect match.she’s everything that Regina ever was.as i said before, Emma is always the one being chased, and Regina is the one doing the chasing (graham,robin s3,with daniel she was the optimist/take the risk one„ thanks to n3v3r-mnd ,they completed my puzzle)but when it comes to each other..to their relationship they both play opposite roles Emma is the one who fights and Regina is the one who receives itwhy?-Emma’s strength is love ,she doesn’t hide it anymore,Regina(,just like henry,david and snow), is also a source of Emma’s strength,she makes her braver and strong.Regina is home ,and Emma always fight for it,just like she did with her parents,henrythat’s why it’s logical for Emma to be the one who fightand also,to break the same routine of her life and be the one who fights for…a possible romance.-Regina ‘s weakness is love, saying goodbye to love (daniel,henry) was not the same as saying goodbye to a happy ending (SM),nothing hurts regina like love did/does.Regina is terrified because love is her weaknessand love is realand what is real always hurtsDaniel hurthenry hurt and Emma is capable of that too (she did it already..regina reacts dramatically to everything emma does/says, it takes one sane mind to read between the lines eh)Emma is not a safe option, she’s too real ,too dangerous,that’s why it’s logical for Regina to be in the receiving side this time.oh but when/if they both or one of them realize it, it’s going to be much more painful and beautifulthat’s the moment when the real story will just begin,the real issues will appear again to hunt them both,first the denial then the struggle,and finally the acceptanceeverything will make sense,the savior and the evil queen,the mayor and the sheriff,the mothers,the magical team , oh wait..how did we miss this?they would be so perfect with each other as a couple/..like i can’t even tell youthey both need what the other offers, Regina loves too deeply, and Emma needs THAT, she needs to be loved like that.she needs someone to put her first and act like she’s the best damn thing in this world,Regina won’t need to threaten emma or manipulate her to take her side because she knows emma never feared her or let her down, Regina won’t feel like she’s pushing too much or suffocating her because Emma would tell her everyday that THIS is what she needs,she always needed someone to love her this much,..someone to hold onto her..,she will remind her everyday that she’s wrong, “regina you know how to love, you make me feel loved”,regina will finally find something real,not based on fate or destiny,not written or given, something real .regina would find someone who saw her at her worst but never feared or judge her, someone who won’t misunderstand the way she loves as “control” or “weakness”,someone who “fights” for her even when she’s a pain in the ass. Emma would finally find someone who can understand her, hold onto her and give her all the attention she never had,UGH these two are so precious but need to get their shit together before i lost my cool..alsohow dare youmake me talk swan queen to you ethan-8:
