【 Crimson wings beat the air around him, tousling dark strands as the Red Dragon took flight. He watched her departure with concern, not at all liking the feeling she had given off once they’d both regained themselves. They’d agreed to part ways, the better to get their bearings over the land. She would survey from the skies and he on foot. While he understood the merit of surveying the land, what Caim did not understand was the sensation he’d felt from his pact-beast, this... nostalgia she held. The land was certainly different and yet even to him did it feel familiar... The soldier finally began his trek, eyes upon the landscape and fingers clenching upon his weapon. It was too calm; he missed the battlefield and the bloodshed that came with it. He promised himself to indulge in a little bloodletting should he find the opportunity to do so. At hearing clamor in the distance, the possibility came sooner than he believed.

With urgency did Caim rush closer to the sounds of battle, the thought of learning the lay torn from his mind. He hadn’t needed to travel far, nearly stepping upon one of the fallen. What uniform was this? The corpse was not in the plating of the Empire nor the arms of the Union. Further proof that this was indeed a strange place. Stepping over the body, Caim continued on. And find the source of the noise he had. A woman in red-splattered white, cutting down these oddly decorated soldiers with no mercy nor remorse. Even with the urge to take up arms and join her in her bloodletting, he merely stared on to observe the chaotic dance before him.】
