Mohammed also noted that there are two reasons behind the buildout; one being that MegaPath had decided to pursue new markets, including mobile backhaul, and the other was based simply on the demand for Ethernet solutions from companies that are not currently served by fiber optics. He went on to say that end-users are asking for bigger bandwidth speeds, mainly Ethernet and mostly symmetrical, adding that customers were drawn to Ethernet by the attractive pricing and features it provided. This opened up existing avenues to new-found prospects where previously MegaPath couldn’t compete.
