I sometimes imagine what my younger-self would think if he saw some of the things I see now on a daily basis, like... this. What is this? I mean really, check out that image for a few seconds. Actually, I had a Star Trek (the next generation) tricorder when I was a kid, which I probably would have scanned over this thing before getting too close, so... not far off. Though I would have been startled if my tricorder started playing music that I would produce in the future. But would I know it was my music, would I like it? Anyway...... BTS: A shot from drum tracking day for Lightning Cult’s EP2: Ether Waves. It has been an honor to work with M.Marchant on both of the @lightningcultsound records to date. When I first heard the phone-recorded demos of his songs (which would become EP1: Burner), I heard the good magic and was thrilled he was asking me to bring it to life. I was fairly isolated at the time, having just finished extensive work on a hard-fought solo album, so a new collaboration, I thought, was not on my radar. Oh, but it was and I am so grateful it was.
