So my previous post was about how my muse decided I needed to write some fanfic instead of writing my ethics final. It's about 8 pages long now, with 5282 words. It's technically two fics that I am writing simultaneously.
Now, at around 11:28pm, since it's Friday night ( the nigth Supernatural airs on tv) and I saw some old Supernatural/DMC fanart, my muse has inspired me to write not 2 fics, but 3.
So to fully sum up the situation, I am writing 3 fanfics at the same time. The first: a blatant reader self insert story. The second, a sequel: follows the headcanon of another person, sprinkling some of my own as well as a third's. And, finally, the third: A Supernatural/DMC story, in which I use the same headcanon from the second story, but with no OC, and drag all the important players from Supernatural to the DMC world and the Angels try to start the apocalypse again. And everyone gets corporeal forms, if they don' have one already. Imagine Angels with "angel triggers" and Crowley with a nice pair of snake eyes, because I will be damned if I don't throw in a reference to Good Omens. No Leviathan because they can suck it.
See, this wouldn't be such an issue if I could ignore it. I have been suffering from terrible writer's block for almost a year now, so I made it a rule for my sake that every time I got the urge to write, I would. The essay is not due until Monday at 9 am, and it's not even Saturday then, but damn it all. I wanted to finish it yesterday.
Anyone got any tips on how to calm your muse down to get some work done, without loosing any of the ideas or the urge to write?
