looking at him sceptically peter was uncertain he could trust what the man was telling him. everything he’d known told him it was a trick, that he was going to be locked away again where they could put his abilities to the test. there was no way he was going back to that.

he had to be certain. he wouldn’t risk his freedom just because the man was friendly. he might be young but he was far from stupid. the doctors who’d done their experiments had been nice at first too.
