Josb or Jasb is a special place where my ancestors come from my mother's side of the family. The song features a solo played with a unique instrument called "Saz". It was deliberately chosen since my great grandfather used to own and play this beautiful instrument. From what I gather, he used to take special care of this instrument, and it was advised to his many kids in the household, not to go near his beloved Saz. He was a generous wealthy man who used to help people with their medical needs and used to own many acres of land in Josb.According to Wikipedia, "Jasb Rural District is a rural district in the Central District of Delijan County, Markazi Province, Iran. At the 2006 census, its population was 1,373 in 552 families. The rural district has seven villages. It is located 15 km NE of Delijan, in Iran... At one point during the 1950s, more than half of the population in Kerogan were Baha'is. The other village which had a few Baha'i families is Vesquneqan. During the month of Ramadan in 1955, Sheikh Mohammad Taqi Falsafi, a populist preacher, started one of the highest-profile anti-Bahá'í propaganda schemes in Iran. After receiving permission from the Shah to state anti-Bahá'í rhetoric in his sermons, he encouraged other clergies to discuss the Bahá'í issue in their sermons. These sermons caused mob violence against Bahá'ís; Bahá'í properties were destroyed. Their livestock was stolen or killed. Their centers looted, their cemeteries desecrated, Bahá'is were killed, some hacked to pieces, Bahá'í women were abducted and forced to marry Muslims, and Bahá'ís were expelled and dismissed from schools and employment. Due to the increasing amount of persecution suffered by the Baha'is at the hands of the Muslim majority, they were left with no choice than to abandon their lifestyle and dwellings, in search of a better life in Tehran."
