Fashion talk
The style I am wanting to emulate right now is something like "ethno modern" or something akin to cyberpunk + desert. I don't have a name for it, so I don't know where to look, but the point is, how do I accomplish this without being appropriative? I have wanted to try to incorporate West African patterns into my outfits, but being adopted by white Americans, I dont feel I have a claim to that despite it being part of my heritage. There is nothing "American" about how I want to dress, I suppose, either.
I want mainly wide leg pants, flowing A line silhouettes, rings, huge earrings, anklets, bold colors, if I can't work with African patterns, butbthe jewelry feels like I am appropriating Indomodern fashion.
