⋉ ♱ ⋊ ⤑ ⊳ Although the blond has found himself travelling the streets of the Old Residential District alone more and more often lately, he acted as though there was nothing amiss - that things were fine and smiled as he usually did. But it was only after, after the parole was done and after the reports and after the paperwork - that Virus found himself hesitating just the tiniest bit. Felt that long forgotten feeling of unease that he hadn’t felt since he was a child. And it’d form a crack in his facade - making him drop the smile and drop his gaze and stand still like a doll locked in place. He’d be facing the direction for the route he’d usually take to go to their home, to the place where he resides yet also disappears like a ghost. ⊲

⊳ ‘I don’t want to go.’ Is the thought that sprouts in his mind and follows the thump of his heart. He doesn’t want to, but he will. He doesn’t want to, but he must. And so back with the facade, back with the smile and the straightforward gaze. He shall not let his facade be broken - everything is fine. ⊲

       He’d thought he was alone, thought it was safe to stretch his wings. He thought he’d gone far enough into the forest that he could take down the spell and stretch them out for the first time in a couple months. Takashi was just beginning to relax when he heard footsteps nearby. A panic spread through him as he quickly tried to hide them again. The last time someone caught him with his wings out was when he was captured and turned into a lab rat, when he nearly had them cut off. His hands were shaking and he was beginning to hyperventilate.
