au where the first year sports festival gets cancelled (todobakudeku)
- i always found it weird that the hero kids quirks are broadcast so widely, giving an unfair advantage to villains
- now the whole timeline shifts this way and let’s say canon... is canon but just. moved a bit. let’s just insert a year.
- why? well because i want todoroki to stay mean and cold and distant for a bit longer
- he has to find other ways to piss of his dad and defy him
- he is frustrated by the class. (dude, chill, not everyone was professionally trained since they were 4!) and imagine him w a lot of eyerolling, challenging midoriya a lot but when he sees that he’s slow on improving he starts challenging bakugou more
- tbc
Todoroki headcanons
focusing on the angst and his quirk:
- using a quirk is like using a muscle, right? well, Todoroki’s quirk covers his entire body, and after a long day of training, his whole body hurts. the more he uses it, the more it does. after a while, it doesn't even register, it’s just the constant thrum of pain between his shoulder blades, under his skin.
- not using his fire side must have felt satisfying mentally but definitely not physically. the built-up energy hurts even more - makes him antsy and irritated until it blows up inside him, his fire flaring up. it’s not that he can’t control it but the opposite - he controls it too well. but he cannot change the law of thermodynamics. energy has to go somewhere.
- his skin is sensitive after using his quirk for so long - his left side pink and irritated, his right side too dry and the skin brittle. he uses a lot of moisturiser to stop the itching and dry patches. if he doesn't his skin cracks and bleeds
- his emotions can trigger his quirks, so he learns to keep himself calm, evening out his breathing. it results in his inability to let himself go and guard his emotions too close.
- his training was Spartan and brutal, if not instructed, he sometimes still falls into the rhythm of training until he faints/pukes. the chant PLUS ULTRA doesn’t discourage him from this
schitt’s creek au where endeavour goes to jail because of money laundering (and being a terrible person oops), so his now broke family goes to live at this absolutely horrible backwater town to start a new life.
rich socialite shouto isn't impressed by the lame vet (midoriya), nor the “”bad boy”” mechanic (bakugou). he just wants to go back to what he does best - being a chaotic bastard in Tokyo. still, he has to settle for schitt’s creek and see what trouble he can stir up.
fuyumi and natsuo can’t get used to this country living either but rei is surprisingly calm about everything
rei: my husband is in a better place now :)
random townsfolk: :O oh did he die?
fuyumi: he’s in jail, don’t worry!!
and their estranged brother, Dabi also turns up, just to laugh at them trying their best at being poor
oh look, another mean comment... why do i even try
im finally editing my favourite scene for “into the woods” hell yeah
i scrapped this idea off this blog bc i thought it’s going to be for my bigbang but no so here it is again:
