thoughts on ETN news

Okay so I don't think Thursday's announcement is what most of us were expecting and while at first the thought of an Escape The Night movie can be exciting at first, after a few days of thinking about it IMO it's a bit of a downgrade

Now don't get me wrong, any ETN content after the 4+ years hiatus is a good thing but honestly I'd rather have ten 20-30 minute episodes releasing weekly than a AT THE MINIMUM around 22 minute "movie"

Also as others have said on here, it is a terrible idea to have fans help produce the movie (including help choose the cast we'll get to that

Watched a bit of the VOD from Joey's stream the other night and at least the chat over there are against having tiktokers in the show. Though the thought on having a mixed cast or at least one person from a past season back doesn't make much sense (especially if it's someone from last season), like the survivor cameos from other seasons are nice but that's it

Not the biggest fan on the idea of the "movie" being mostly scripted and with actors who aren't just NPC like characters in the cast, for me at least that just takes away a part of what made the show fun (seeing your favourite and least favourite youtubers having to work together and kill each other)

Not too many thoughts on the whole fundraiser that are different from what the rest of the fandom is saying a bit scummy

Also I think someone really needs to get the ETN twitter intern to touch grass

Markaplier - I wouldn't hate it if he was on it, not much of an opinion on him tbh

LDShadowlady - I only know her from Minecraft story mode, but I don't really want her or most other gaming youtubers on it (I just don't really like those kind of youtubers at all)

Trisha Paytas + James Charles - No just no

Merrell Twins - Cringe no (only really know them from back when I watched Rebecca Zamolo not a fun time)

Anthony from Smosh - No opinion really, he's alright
