Etta couldn’t bring herself to go home in her anger. She didn’t want her mood to rub off on the kids. Especially since her sweet pups would try to make her feel better and for the time being she just wanted to stay mad. 

Deandre did say that Kristopher stopped by the house after he knew she left and asked how he could make things up to her though he didn’t give his brother-in-law any details as to why Etta was mad. Etta simply texted Deandre to tell Kristopher to go screw himself in not as kind a manner.

Rory was almost always up for sparring with Etta, as packmates they held a close bond from their antics.

But eventually, he came around when Etta said that it wasn’t like she could reasonably keep him away from his children since even if he wasn’t a great husband, he was a good father which Deandre couldn’t deny considering that Kristopher’s older two were genuinely good respectable adults. He didn’t have to like him coming around though.

Etta became very grateful she started the conversation after the kids had gone to sleep because Deandre was not at all pleased with his brother-in-law. He didn’t want to spend too much time around the man who had cheated on his sister.

Since Kristopher was no longer the leader of his pack he wanted to spend more time with his family and in-laws so Etta thought it best that she broach the subject with Deandre.

The entire household was more than happy to celebrate the girls’ birthday though having to do homework did put a damper on it.

Soon it was time for the girls to have their birthday. Deandre was already missing them being little as they blew out their candles.

Etta did help around the house when things broke since she was more handy than Deandre though, she was also usually the one breaking things as a werewolf.
