   adrenaline  had  taken  it’s  course  when  the  realization  had  cleared  his  worry  to  be  a  fact.  he  could  still  feel  the  jolt  of  their  vehicle’s  sharp  turns  and  the  accelerated  speed  even  while  he’s  standing  at  the  curtained  window  of  a  last  minute  motel  room.  eagle  eyes  had  peaked  through  the  slit  that  gave  a  glimpse  of  outside  from  the  ac  unit’s  air  flow.  a  hand  rested  over  a  holstered  a  firearm  that  sat  on  the  side  of  his  hip,  pads  of  his  fingers  tips  toyed  with  the  button  on  the  holster  —  a  split  second  it  could  be  flipped.  he’ll  shower  bullets  if  it  meant  keeping  genevieve  safe  but  their  vulnerable  piece  of  information  attracted  the  opposite.  trouble  was  a  boomerang  for  this  family.  topher  dedicated  months  of  vigilance  and  strategic  value  all  while  his  loyalty  to  them  was  written  in  ink  —  and  now  blood.  “  you  alright?  “  words  were  quick,  yet  heavy  with  a  firmness  to  keep  the  air  stiff.  there  wasn’t  a  grin  in  sight  as  he  couldn’t  fathom  the  mindset  for  it.  finally,  he  took  a  step  back  from  the  window  and  lowered  his  hand  to  cross  his  arms  against  his  chest.  “  .  .  .  i  knew  we  should’ve  just  gave  it  to  your  dad.  “  top  row  of  teeth  dug  into  the  bottom,  the  cushion  had  a  twinge  of  pain  from  his  frustration,  but  it  subsided  when  he  released  it.  “  you  know  listenin’  to  me  every  once  and  a  while,  wouldn’t  hurt  you.  “  the  homme  shrugged,  sarcasm  rung  with  familiarity  due  to  their  extensive  time  spent  together.

a crestfallen expression on billie's face , brows furrowing in as they're giving him a studious look - head tilted to the side , contemplative for a second . a brief chuckle comes out from their lips as they're leaning against the counter , silent as ever . just for a moment , of course . their arms are crossed against their chest - chewing down on their lower lip , thinking of things to say . nonetheless , as they're facing pedro , all of their thoughts seem to go away . " look at you like what ? " they're asking , face soon contorted with curiosity , trying to figure out the right words , the correct words to say in this sense . " i'm not looking at you in any sort of way , " they're letting out , shoulders shrugging , this frail attempt to keep casual - except , they're lying . they're looking at him in some sort of way , although , trying to conceal it , of all things .

IT WAS A NORMAL NIGHT for the bounty hunter as he was assigned to retrieve a bounty out of his normal state lines. the drive was longer than expected but he stayed alert until he managed to see the 'welcome! ' sign, rene was a night owl at heart so when night came he had the same amount of energy from when he started his journey. he we well into his drive within the new scenery before he called a break to ask for directions to the nearest hotel. mostly to set up what he needed until he team meets him later on in the morning. shuffling through the isles of the convenience store, he picked multiples of items of which his eyes landed on. jerky. check. energy drink. check. a random toy to remember his time away from home. check. he started to make his way towards the counter to check out but his attention was caught on a figure outside the store. partially alarme dbut he remained collected until he realized that he bumped into a figure. " oh, shit. sorry. you're good? "
