I got tagged by both @willtheweaver and @gioia-writes-and-others, and since I was planning on sharing more snippets for snippet Sunday, I’m just gonna throw both tags together. First of all, a line from Blood On A Yellow Rose that is funny out of context, but tragic in context:
Haru tucks one of his bangs behind his ear, trying to play it cool. “Oh, hey, Pamela, what’s up?”
“You, apparently. You’re high as fuck.”
And a funny scene from Night Of The Justified Deaths. Fun fact: Hades has an epithet, Euchaites, meaning the beautiful haired one, and I worked it into my ‘design’ for him:
“I never thought that the god of the dead could be so…Nice.”
“Or have hair like an 80s rock star,” Raphael added.
“Why do you think my worshippers call me the beautiful haired one?” he said with a smirk.
Myrna’s eyes lit up. “Now that you mention it, you do have beautiful hair. What’s your routine?”
Hades backed away from her as she reached for a lock of his hair. “I’m a married man, Myrna.”
