Behold the Nuts Stool by Sweden-based designer Eunjae Lee. The artist intended this design to be a poetic approach and interpretation about mass-produced goods which have been identified only as their functions and required to be efficient. Lee makes a an interesting point by taking something that is a tool and re-functioning its function. I adore how the shape in a microcosmic view, seems as if the wood is breaking down and becoming an organism. It is amazing what shapes and materials can reference for the human brain. Design concept is the most powerful tool of all.
