There weren’t often transfer students. As a matter of fact, Draco had ever seen a transfer student. And he’d never heard his father talk about one either. Though that didn’t say much, his father didn’t talk about his time at Hogwarts much. But apparently, this year, they were going to get one. He knew nothing about her save that she had been sorted into Slytherin, and that was enough. She was basically a novelty item, and Draco wanted in.
So when she walked into the Slytherin common room, he made sure to be the first to introduce himself. “You must be the new girl,” he drawled, holding out her hand to her. “I’m Draco Malfoy, I believe we’re in the same year.” He motioned to the common room behind him. “This here is where you’ll probably be spending most of your time. The best part honestly, is that there’s no Gryffindors in here.”
