✨💫💖 (at Ibiza Beach)
I will be reunited with the other half of my soul this time tomorrow. What a Romeo I have for a boyfriend.
CZECH REPUBLIC
Prague. Was such an incredible city and definitely one of my favourites. It reminded me of Melbourne a lot which may have contributed to my love for it. I found coconut water, the first of the whole trip, blueberry dark chocolate, green juice, miso and a noodle bar - incredible. The walking tour was sensational and made me aware of how much of an impact ww2 had on the country. Because of this I was inspired to go on a tour of a nearby concentration camp, terezin which really was an eye opener. I guess everyone knows the devastating experiences that occurred in ww2 but actually standing in a concentration camp is truly an indescribable experience. The nightlife in Prague was also crazy, once agAin ash and I got too drunk and we even ate KFC (we dot eat fast food so this was a big yolo of our trip haha). I will definitely be returning to Prague and also visiting cesky krumlov and I am already super excited. GET TO PRAGUE EVERYONE.
GREECE
Athens. We were reluctant at first because the reviews for our hostel were pretty bad and we just wanted to get to the Greek Islands so we were not that keen on going to Athens by the end of malta. Turns out it was probably one of our favourite cities yet and the hostel wasn't even that bad, just stuffy but that would be because it was so humid there. We went on two walking tours which was great to get an overview of the history and culture and we saw many historical monuments. The food was also great, gyros in Greece as well as frozen Greek yoghurt with Nutella and strawberries... Perfection. We really loved it and I would love to come spend some more time here one day in the future. Ios. First and last impression were the same, incrediable. We had to take a 7 hour ferry from Athens but we got there we were greeted by our hostels driver who was a friendly New Zealand guy. The hostel was in prime position and had a fantastic view. We were upgraded to a private dorm which was a bonus. The hostel gives free shots to everyone at 10:30 which gets every down by the bar and when the drinking starts. At 12 you are taken into the town with the driver leading the group. From there it is history. I don't think i paid for a thing when I went out in ios. Free shots all the time, club and pub jumping constantly, dancing in all sorts of places and then getting so fucked up you loose your friend (who when you wake up in the morning tells you she passed out in a piazza and got mugged). So the nightlife is crazy good in ios. We also met some friendly American guys, Sean and Brian, so they made pre drinking very fun. The beach is breathtaking and was only about a 10 minute run from our hostel (bonus: excuse to not run for any longer). I can only imagine what ios would be like in peak time. Mykonos. Well all I can say is holy shit. We stayed at paradise beach and that is a crazy party place during the day. The first night I got fucked up and died. Truly. I can't remember a thing since I walked out of my shacks room. It is a blur and even when people tell me stories that dosnt even jog my memory the smallest bit. I am actually so angry at myself for it and never intend to get like that again. Crazy. But we met some lovely Israeli guys, one was really cool, one quite and one who well carried around these balls on a string and swung them around every chance he got. LOL. The beach was beautiful too. It reminded me a lot of koh Samui but lots more expensive. I don't think you need to go back though once you have been but it is defiantly somewhere you need to venture to once in your life. The town was beautiful too. Typical Greece style buildings with great shopping, just too expensive. I was happy to leave though as I had had enough of partying by that stage. I am so lucky that I got to go to Greece.
So I'm off to Athens then ios and mykonos and Prague and sail Croatia and Berlin and then Mainz and then Amsterdam and then Bruges then Dublin and London and edinburagh for t in the park and then Barcelona and Lisbon and Madrid and ibizia and back to Paris and god my life is great.
