THE SKATEBOARD’S WHEELS ARE loud against the concrete, though it slows to a stop when he spots teddy. “ there you are !! ” sosa kicks up his board to catch it, taking the remaining steps to get closer to him. “ i got a surprise for you. ” in his other hand is a white box, a sweet smell eminating from it. “ i’ll give you a hint, i just got off my shift at b & b and the thing in this box rhymes with shmanana shream. ” sosa holds it out to him expectantly, letting out a gentle laugh, “ we had backstock, and if it isn’t going to you, i’m gonna have to throw it out, which would totally suck. ”

     she  rushes  in  like  a  glittery  hurricane,  all  too  excited  to  place  her  latest  creation  from  class  down  on  her  desk   (  one  of  the  benefits  of  majoring  in  culinary  arts  ?  you  get  to  bring  home  leftovers  ).  she’s  not  surprised  to  see  teddy  lounging  on  peach’s  bed  without  her  brother  in  sight  —  he’s  practically  their  third  roommate.  “  come  over  here  and  look  at  this  !! ”  she  exclaims,  all  too  excited  to  show  off  her  pride  and  joy,  “  there  are  so  many  frogs  on  this  cake  !!  ”

               he has a history of running late to things--- he calls it a quirk, teachers call it ‘irresponsible’. they’re not as socially involved as he is, though. they wouldn’t get it. coming upon a single member of the capture the flag team does lean toward feeling... not so responsible. “did i do it again?” maybe everyone else is battling over their flags, now. maybe he’s not too late? his side quest could’ve just felt like it took forever. he grimaces, shaking the little balls in his cup. “i didn’t bring you boba.”
