This was a really pretty song! This is “Westworld” by Evan Giia as I see it because of synesthesia, a condition which causes me to see music visually!

EVAN GIIA - I DON'T LIKE UR FRIENDS
A spunky new single, “I DON'T LIKE UR FRIENDS” is the latest number from Brooklynite and Foreign Family Collective’s Emmy Giarrusso of EVAN GIIA. Despite its anti-social connotations, "I Don’t Like Your Friends” is a track that certainly feels charismatic. With its bass-boosted sound and wonky synth flex joining the silky glide of GIIA’s soft, sultry delivery, EVAN’s single meets all the necessary checks and balances. Speaking about her carefully-crafted single, Emmy had this to say about the inspirations behind her cathartic track:
“Wrote it during a time when I needed to let out some frustrations about how my friends were acting. So many of my friends have asked me if this song is about them. I will never tell! I hope people can listen, smile and feel badass."
You can check out her choreographed little wonder with her video below:
Westworld is one of my favorite television series. I mean, that mind bending HBO show is just exceptional, and I can’t wait for its return this April. I’ve come to learn that a very different kind of Westworld is a true delight for the senses, too. Its an aural one, and a heckuva debut single from a new signee to ODESZA’s Foreign Family Collective, too. Brooklyn’s EVAN GIIA dazzles us with her vocal forte on WESTWORLD, a stringy shimmering pop track that blooms into a sharp jouncing, buoyant springing future styled groover bursting with sparking energy before it plays with our hearts by returning back to its more pensive and introspective atmosphere once again. Imagine Maggie Rogers with more dance attitude and Grace Mitchell with not just ‘jitters’ but a whole lot of electronic punch. Add in some of Odesza’s marching drum lines and orchestral splendor, and you’ll get something akin to WESTWORLD. The track’s music video is also a dance feast of sorts with its almost ritualistic circle of exuberance and desert revelry. WESTWORLD is available worldwide and on all streaming platforms, here.
