Just check out some of the ways in which she views others. According to her perception, Scott Lee is jealous of her and she holds authority over him.

Eva (Evangeline) Guthrie

Hello Everyone! So here’s the new design of our final protagonist, detective Eva Guthrie (the official troublemaker of Ivanta PD). As per usual, we’ve included her previous design for comparison as well as her extended profile below the cut!

Evangeline Guthrie’s Profile

Age: 25 | Height: 5’2

She’s a rookie homicide detective and the newest member of a special task force assembled by Chief Troy Holloway, which deals with deranged serial killers.

Having worked as a uniformed officer for three years, Eva holds the records for the longest successful chase, both on foot and while driving. And despite her prosthetic leg, she’s considered the fastest member of Ivanta PD.

Although she might not look it, the murder of her Agata Cabot, her best friend, haunts her with remorse. Eight years ago, Eva had managed to get her hands on some fake IDs which she’d been itching to try out. So she convinced Agata to accompany her to a popular bar rather than stick to their original plan, which was to stay home and binge watch a show.

Tragedy met them before reaching their destination. It had been pouring when Eva crossed the street only to be run over by a speeding car. The last thing she saw was Agata looking at her from the across the street, horrified.

Eva slipped into a month-long coma. When she regained consciousness, she discovered that she'd not only lost her leg and all her chances at becoming an Olympic runner; but she'd also lost her best friend. That tragic day, outside the bar where she laid bleeding, Agata had been kidnapped by ChainShaw. Presumably, the deranged serial killer had taken her during the chaos and turned Agata into his last victim.

For years, Eva mourned her friend and fell out of touch with the Cabots. She blamed herself for what happened but couldn't bring herself to confess what she'd done to anyone. She carried the guilt silently, hiding the pain behind a wall of fake bravado. The phantom pains from her missing leg became a constant and perpetual reminder of her broken state.

She'd been trying to move on when one day, memories of what happened started to surface through hazy nightmares. Convinced that something didn't add up with her friend's case, Eva switched careers and got a bachelor degree in Crime Scene Investigations.

She worked as a police officer for three years. During that time, she managed to get a copy of the ChainShaw’s file. Putting everything she’d learned to the test, she studied the case thoroughly, hoping the broken pieces of her memory would prove her raising concerns were founded.

Working to unveil the motivations of Benjamin Shaw, Eva became obsessed with the case. That obsession turned to fire. That fire gave her purpose and blazed a path for her to follow.

Eva worked her ass off to become a detective with the intention of reopening the case once she gathered more evidence. What she hadn't anticipated was that Chief Troy Holloway (aka the big boss) would approach her with an offer anyone sane wouldn't refuse. But Eva had been about to do just that when she learned Detective Sebastian Cabot -- her best friend’s older brother and Eva’s childhood crush -- had been appointed as the team's leader.

Putting her obsession on hold for now, Eva joined the task force in hopes that one day, she would gain Sebastian's forgiveness.

Beliefs:

Explanations should be short and sweet, otherwise, they are a waste of time.

Though she doesn’t believe in ghosts, she fears them. Better safe than sorry is her motto.

It’s better to ask for forgiveness than permission.

If she feels someone needs her help, she’ll give it, whether he or she wants it is inconsequential.

Endearing traits:

She's fluent in English & creating words that don’t exist.

She prefers action-packed movies with little to no tragedy weaved into the plot. She avoids heavy dramas like the pest because they make her cry and she doesn't like looking weak.

She hates being alone for long periods of time and can’t stand silence.

She can drink a truck driver under the table and still have enough energy to sing and dance.

Strengths:

Intuitive: her gut-feelings have yet to fail her, which has caused some people to think she's made a pact with a spirit. Eva tends to pick up on things others dismiss which can sometimes become the key to breaking a case.  

Action-oriented: she tends to jump into action when the situation merits it. Not only is she a proficient fighter, but she’s also so fast, no perp can escape her.  

Thick-skinned: Most insults roll off her like water, though she does have certain buttons that will make her snap. She is also receptive to criticism and takes a verbal beating like a champ.

Devoted & determined: she's loyal to a fault. Whether it's to follow a person or a cause, once she's made up her mind, she won’t stray for anything.

Fearless: She’s unafraid to take risks or put her life on the line in the name of a cause or to protect those she cares about.

Weaknesses:

Impulsive: she tends to jump the gun without considering the risks or consequences of her actions.

Remorseful: if she failed at something, she’ll hold herself accountable and struggle with remorse.

Immature: She finds pleasure in annoying people and can be sometimes downright childish in her behavior.

Rebellious & arrogant: if someone says she can’t do something, she’ll stop at nothing to prove them wrong, even if that means creating chaos.

Judgmental: She tends to judge a book by its cover. If she’s wrong on her assessment, it takes a tremendous effort for her to accept that.

The result... Evangeline Guthrie (again)! Her hotheaded nature paves the way to callous and often violent behavior. Why someone decided to give her a badge is a mystery that baffles many till this day.

The result... Evangeline Guthrie! It takes very little for her to lose her cool. That is not to say, she’s not a good detective or that she can’t hold her own. Let’s just say that patience has never and will never be her strong suit.
