Eva Mark.09, Hell Knight Edition. A relic from the days before Eva Q was released to Blu-Ray and a blurry, shaky cell phone recording of the footage was all we poor gaijin had. This was modified from color settei of the derpy headless Mark.09 published to the Eva 3.0 theatrical booklet, the head and core plate obviously being drawn from scratch. The blue feet probably weren’t the soundest artistic choice, but... oh well. I was a bit surprised to see, in the expanded collection of color settei included with the BD release, that the official rendition of “awakened” Mark.09 was posed with the scythe as well, despite never wielding it in the film. You do gotta admit, the scythe goes together way better with the hell knight than with the decapitated Creamsicle.
