I think it became obvious in the last episode that Betty felt that she was going to have to lose weight and go back to her old self when Henry told her he was going to run for office. I thought I noticed Betty getting slightly smaller the last few episodes and I don't think Betty isn't completely thin again. Remember when Betty told Sandy that she was trying to reduce? I like the way they are showing her weight loss, it's subtle. Although I do wish there would be more Betty

That's true I forgot about that. Her weight loss was super subtle, like I couldn't tell whether she was actually losing weight or if they got her a better suit.

But yeah Henry running for office seemed like her biggest motivation to get back to her old self.
