Beautifully Insane | Tate Langdon
Part 2
Warnings: none
It’d been a week since you encountered Tate. You had no idea if it had actually happened, or if it was just a dream you had once you passed out. Your parents didn’t seem to hear you scream, so you told yourself it was all just a dream. But you knew it wasn’t, you knew what you heard, and you knew what you saw. Ghosts were real, and this damn house was full of them.
“Mom, I’m telling you he was right in front of me, he spoke to me!”
Your mother glanced at you, a small smile on her lips. “So you admit it? Ghosts are real?” You rolled your eyes. “If I say yes will you investigate?” The woman nodded her head, passing you your plate full of eggs. “Hurry up and eat that, you have school, sweet pea.”
You groaned at the thought of going to your new school. You had looked up the reviews of Westfield, and of course, it had to be one of the shittiest schools in California.
Grabbing your book bag, you walked out the door of your home, and headed towards your car. When you looked up towards the house, you saw the blonde haired boy who had spoken to you the day before, and immediately you started the engine, not giving him another glance.
The school day dragged on, it was the typical first day for a new student, and it exhausted you to no end. As soon as you got home, you headed up to your room for a much needed nap.
“You’re not like any of the others.”
His voice caused you to jump, you were almost pulled into your slumber until he spoke out. Sitting up, you saw him in the corner of your room, looking out your window. “W-Who are you again?”
He smirked, his sad looking eyes meeting yours. “Tate. And you’re y/n.”
You nodded.
“You know, your parents aren’t exactly the smartest thinking anything good will come out of moving here.” You shrugged. “Nobody said ghost hunters were smart, they’re just curious.”
Tate maintained eye contact with you until you finally laid back down. “If you’re gonna kill me, please just get it over with. Preferably while I’m asleep, so if you could just wait a few minutes you can take your time.”
The boy laughed, his eyes wrinkling as he did so, causing your heart to skip a beat. “I don’t want to kill you. I just want your company.”
You rose an eyebrow. “But you don’t even know me.”
“I will eventually.”
