Infinity Nikki's social features wherein you can type anything are being disabled until June 6th... And they made an actual public announcement for this, calling it a maintenance, which is hilarious.

This is a thing that all Chinese games do around this time. Because it's the anniversary of the Tiananmen Massacre of 1989, and the Chinese government/CCP doesn't want anyone talking about it. Because clearly if you don't talk about something that means it never happened.

The silencing is such that you can't even type 1989 in chat or their discord or anything. If you were born in 1989, no you weren't, because that is just not a year that exists.

But IN's public announcement of this has people overseas asking questions about this. So they've just brought attention to it, and now even people who have never heard of this massacre are learning about it. A spectacular backfire on the part of the CCP.
