“Ev, I’ve done something pretty bad…” When Evelyn heard that, she turned to look at her brother properly. Not for a second did Evelyn think that Gomez had something to do with this but she didn’t like the look that he had on his face. It worried her. “What is it?” She asked with a raise of an eyebrow. If Gomez had gotten himself in trouble and she hadn’t been there to help him - she wouldn’t know what to do. She had been avoiding all of her family because of her parents split, she knew that Gomez hadn’t deserved that. She was definitely worried though. Gomez was good, he wouldn’t do something to hurt anyone but she didn’t like the expression he had. Whatever it was, it was cutting him up.

Link was dreading this. He had hoped that Emilie would wake up the next morning and realise that she had made a mistake and she would get help and they would be fine. But, of course, she hadn’t. He had hoped that he could maybe keep it from them for a little while longer. But he knew his kids. They were smart. He knew that they would know that something was wrong. Especially when he and Emilie called them both to the house. Surely they’d noticed his things gone before they said anything. “Hey Gomez.” Link sighed as he looked up at his son. He didn’t want to do this. Not one bit.

As soon as her parents asked her and Gomez to go home for a family meeting, Evelyn knew that it wasn’t going to be good. Her mum had mentioned to her a couple times that she and her dad were arguing a lot more recently, that they were having trouble. She was worried about what they were going to say but she was pretty sure that she already knew. “Is everything okay?” She asked her mum with a sigh. She just wanted to get this over with, rip off the band aid. She didn’t want them to beat around the bush and she didn’t think that they would.
