Marie and or Lyon fussing over Soma and his chewed open and bloody lips cause he's run out of toothpicks again.
Marie is the doting kind, just as much as she wants to help Lyon she also wants to help Soma. The Drifter is usually not as serious with his injuries outside of sleeping with Roathe, and he could easily heal himself with what the Vazarin school provides him. But he just forgets half the time, and the other half he doesn't mind the blood or pain cause he's just used to much harsher things. A small healing reservoir usually does the trick, and for anything else she tuts and likes to remind him of his own abilities.
Lyon sometimes fears he might get called out on his hypocrisy fussing over Soma while he regularly does what he does to himself, but at the same time he knows what he deals with and seeing the Drifter injured, even if by his own volition, just never sits right with him. So while he doesn't go out of his way to rush to Soma's side or chastise him, he does once in a while hand him some ointment with a stern look. If you can't avoid hurting yourself, at least make sure the wounds are cared for.
Roathe, of course, is being normal about this. Not jealous. Absolutely not over-compensating by bein extra fussy with his aftercare after a particularly involved night that left a good deal of their (mostly Soma's) blood not where it belongs. Is he being just a tad too possessive? Potentially. But at the same time he just wants to make sure the Drifter knows he *cares* just as much, if not more than the others, about his lover's well-being. Even if they did what they did. And will continue doing so. Shut up and get in the blanket burrito. And stop chewing the lips, here's more toothpicks. Get kissed, idiot.
