“’Unaussprechlichen Kulten’ combines space atmospherics, drones, and the most freeform of old time German Kosmiche experimentalism to create a sinister yet hauntingly dreamy blend of cosmic Grand Guignol soundtrack and early 70s Teutonic Space-Prog.” – Aural Innovations
From their secret den in a northern Appalachian forest, Evening Fires brew up a rich blend of wide-spectrum rustic psychedelia with ingredients ranging from earthy folk sounds to cosmic drones to full-on rock freak-outs.
“Incredible Adventures” is a sister release to “Where I’ve Been Is Places and What I’ve Seen Is Things” (released simultaneously on LP from Sunrise Ocean Bender records), featuring longer tracks from the same sessions that wouldn’t fit on that album. As a companion piece to the LP, “Incredible Adventures” (titled after a book by Algernon Blackwood) delves deeper into the album's psych-rock terrain while also expanding into some uncharted spaces out beyond. Please see the labels’ websites for more information about both releases.
