Significant shadows whisper in evening haze” Thoughts in Patterns http://neuage.org/e-books/ Lake Benanee, New South Wales, Australia Photos and text by Terrell Neuage

Yep, I redid my pony character. Erratic the blank flank earth pony is now Evening Haze the unicorn with a super vague cutie mark. Their backstories are relatively the same though.
Lived in Manehattan, jumped from college to college, moved off to Ponyville (or wherever) to ‘totally get a career this time I swear’, but in reality just rents an apartment or condo or something with her mother’s money. Possibly has a room-mate. Her cutie mark didn’t appear until after mandatory schooling (whatever they have for high-school). Before it appeared, her tail was really long, so she could more easily hide her lack of a cutie mark (she hoped). Now that she has one, she just chopped her tail off.
Her hobbies include reading anything but the things she’s actually supposed to be reading, sleeping in class, getting really excited about a project only to dump it once things get too hard or she finds something else to obsess over.
Her vague-looking cutie mark actually does have meaning. But since she’s loosely based on me, it’s kind of personal...so I’ll just leave it at ‘it totally means something, honest’.
Traced the sketch from this for the pose, roughly. Then I did the whole ‘make every line a shape with the pen tool and then flood fill’ because I never learn.
FINALLY made a cutie mark for my pony oc. Also changed their name. New name is ‘Evening Haze’. I made it purposefully vague, a fact that annoys Evening to no end.
Evening Haze
Everyday, as his alarm bleeted mercilessly from his bedside table, Shep lay in bed, staring at the ceiling, and wondering if today was the day he should finally quit. Most days, he decided it was. Nonetheless, as these days rolled by, somehow he never marched triumphantly into his boss's office and laid down the law, as he'd always imagined. Instead, he sat at his desk and goofed off and, at the end of the day, left confused: wondering why he neither quit nor was fired.
Today had been one such day, a day like any other, that sloughed by in a haze of forgetfulness until he was lost in somewhere in his own life and couldn't remember how he'd gotten there.
It was this same blank, reasonless state that brought him to Marcia's doorstep without hardly realizing it. Raising a fist, he knocked and waited, leaning against the doorframe, and hoping she was home, even though he wasn't at all sure she was.
