November 2016 will see the start of next PPCC series of evening art workshops, not only learning the fundamentals of drawing but using various tools such as paint and charcoal. During these workshops situated on the weeks before and after the water festival, France Damon one of the most respected artists living in Cambodia will show you how to draw and paint pictures you would never have even dreamed of trying.
Session 1 – Still life drawing with charcoal
Using simple objects you will learn to look at the simple composition and record it accurately on paper drawing attention the light and shadows. Slides, lecture, discussion and demonstration are included.
Session 2 – Figure drawing using colored pencils
You will be exposed to drawing a ‘live’ figure. Participants will learn techniques for proportioning and techniques for "building" a drawing of this most challenging subject matter. Coloring pencils, Slides, lecture, discussion and demonstration are included.
Sessions 3 & 4 – Acrylic Landscape Painting
Introduction to composition, perspective and painting techniques drawing from a photograph. This session will be a great starter into perspective. Slides, lecture, discussion and demonstration etc.
Facilitator
France Damon has been an artist, Studio Art & Art History teacher and creative arts curriculum developer for many years in San Francisco, San Jose, Pago Pago, Cannes, Munich and Napoli. France has advanced degrees in Interdisciplinary arts, Painting and Art History. She has won awards for teaching as well as painting and design. A successful facilitator with the Phnom Penh Community College, she has a huge wealth of experience and passion to share with you.

Fee – US$100 for all workshops including materials. (50% paid on registration, 50% paid on the day of the first workshop)
Target participants – Ideal for people at a beginner/intermediate level.
