I came back to fandom in 2017, and it felt great. I love how welcoming fandom is. Some old friends (like @icicle33) came back to the HP playground at around the same time as I did and I've made some new ones (among others @kiertorata whose going run @femmefest 2018 exchange with me!). When I left fandom, I was just starting to dabble in writing, and I can happily say that I'm femslash and gen creator :D So here are my 2017 fics.
I’ve written two other stories in 2017 but the reveals haven't gone up (anonymous fests) so they aren't part of this post.
Finding Sanctuary: That year Snape was Headmaster was the worse time to be at Hogwarts, but for Ginny it was also the best because she found Luna. Rated: T
This is actually my 3rd fic set in that year when Snape is Headmaster. I've done it with 3 different femslash pairings but this one was a challenged because of Luna. I didn't know how to capture her personality but I'm rather happy with how she came out. This was my first fic since being back and it made me so happy to write for HP Rare Fest.
The Perky Pixie Coffee Shop: After the war, Ginny runs into the last person she expected to see at her favourite coffee shop. Rated: E
This is by far the fic that I am most proud of. I step out of my comfort zone is so many ways. It's my longest fic, it's my less angsty fic and it's my smuttiest fic. Using the coffee shop trope with femslash was so much fun! I'd love to see more of those common troped used in femslash. Can't wait to write for the @femmefest exchange 2018!
Of Full Moons and Rain: Remus’ life has taken on a routine that revolves around the full moon. Rated: T.
Remus is one of my favourite characters. He's one of the first characters that I wrote actually. I wrote this piece for HP Drizzle, and was so happy to return to my roots of introspective gen fics.
