They definitely are. Like they do with SPN, Sherlock, etc. They definitely, definitely are. Good point.

Not saying that the anger isn't entirely valid. I'm disappointed myself. But I understand the reasons and the fact that this is still a male-driven industry. IDK. I'm more thrilled to have a game set in one of my favorite periods of history (to study) to get overly pissed off. There are a ton more games with multiple leads (GTAV, for example) where none are female that I haven't seen any backlash for.

Tumblr seems to be very selective with what games they get super pissed over.

hey, i've never played AC (i just know tidbits here and there) but i appreciate you bringing up that one character. i thought it was silly that people complain about the lack of a female lead in the series and never bring her up. gg

I get being upset. I’m female. I’d love more female leads, but sadly? We ladies are still a minority so far as the demographic goes. An ever growing one, yes, but the gaming companies are just that: companies. They’re out to make money, which I get. They’re going to make the most money by, unfortunately, catering to the demographic that they know is the bigger group.

I’d rather wait for them to do another awesome female like Aveline then end up with them putting a female on a male model (a la Mass Effect 2… which looked really awkward since I played strictly as femshep!)

Where I live, there's a couple of stores that have parking specifically for pregnant women labeled "expectant mothers" which I think is fine. That parking space for women, tho, is so dumb, some of my guy friends have worse driving/parking skills than I do lol
