I have a question if that’s alright. In the event you accidentally pair us up with someone that makes us uncomfortable (i.e. if we had a previously negative experience), would we be allowed to swap? I hope this doesn’t sound rude, but I always like to ask just in case

hello hello!! first off, the secret santa event seems super fun, thank you for doing it!! now, i have a couple questions: 1. are people being paired up 100% randomly or are there some criteria yall are following? and 2. when will matchups be announced? :O

ALL GOOD QUESTIONS! 

1) We try to match people based on criteria such as what they’re comfortable with etc. we try to match people with people who have similar fandoms too if we can!!! 

2) Matchups should be announced tomorrow or the day after!! We had 146 submissions total so it’ll take us a little bit!

hello! I had a couple of questions, I hope that's alright - firstly, have all the Secret Santa pairings been allocated yet? since if that's the case then it looks like my entry might not have gone through properly. and secondly, the yuletide event post mentions a "ticket in the door" to be able to participate; when is the deadline to do that and are there any particular requirements other than the prompt of "decorating the venue"? I hope these are okay! thank you so much for organising this!!

1) We are still working to let everyone know who their pairings are! It’s a lot of work to double check and let others know. We will be letting people know from our personal blogs so that this blog doesn’t lose it’s mind with both of us being on at once! We will make a post when we’ve contacted everyone just to make sure no one is left out! 

2) The deadline to do the “ticket in the door” extends all the way through to the end of the event on January 3rd!! You can join in on any of it at any time if you like! The ticket isn’t even “necessary” so much as it is just a fun little thing to do that’s holiday themed! 

The only requirements is that you’re respectful and nice and read the event hall rules (which is in our description)!
