Well, Hifumi could see why people seemed to be upset about all of this. Twelve in the morning probably wasn’t a normal time for people to be awake - but he usually didn’t even begin to feel tired until three! Or...well, whenever his insomnia decided to stop bugging him so much. It was a hit or miss, depending on the day. 

Though, uh...a loud voice coming from pretty much every device around wasn’t as fun. Yikes.

( He hoped Che’nya wasn’t suddenly woken up to that. )

But for now, it was probably best to do what the voice was saying and head down to the safe-zone in his ward. There were already a lot of people around - so he was thankful he chose to slide on his jacket. He could decide on whether or not he wanted to keep it on depending on...whatever happened! It seemed like they were taking up quests after all, right...? It was like a video game, which he absolutely loved playing! Everything would turn out great this way - it was an opportunity to have fun and meet more people! 

...and, doomsday prep or something, he guessed.

With his microphone tucked neatly into his jacket, he didn’t feel a need to pick out a weapon to use. Instead, he just went over to the supposed quest terminal where he could pick out his task and...called out to the first person he spotted next to it.

“Hello there! Would you like to help me with one of these? I’m certain we could move faster if we work together.”

Perhaps it wasn’t the smartest idea to jump right into all of this and select a task from the terminal offered first thing in the morning. And, perhaps, it wasn’t the smartest idea to proceed to wake Mitsuki and Yamato up as well by insistently calling them until they answered, just to drag them out to where the terminal said a good spot for this task would be.

But, well, sometimes the decisions that lead to the most fun ended up being the decisions that weren’t the smartest to make. Still - this was a safe task, permitted the terminal had given the correct information, so surely nothing could go wrong.

“Alright, we’re here!”

Nagi turned on his heels after stopping by the edge of Savior’s Respite’s cliffside, facing the two people he had dragged along with him. Team bonding, he had insisted. Without the rest of IDOLiSH7 around, it was certainly a team bonding exercise lacking most of it’s team...but as the three of them - as Pythagoras Trio - they could use this activity the same as they used going out for ramen or spending time with one another while everyone else was busy.

“This is an easy task! I made sure to pick one we would not have to worry about too much.” The blond knew he could handle a more difficult task, after all. His combat skills were honed to perfection, and his reflexes were sharp, but Mitsuki and Yamato...? They didn’t have that. 

“We just have to jump down to the space below! Easy, right?” 

Maybe it would be easy, were it not for the fact this was an incredibly tall cliffside.

Among the set of “quests” given by this city’s apparent rulers, there is the exceedingly simple task of playing Rock, Paper, Scissors with some odd little clone bot. Simple in theory, at least.

It has no physical tells (Perihelion would notice, it is good at noticing), and does not seem to be selecting its weapon based on Perihelion’s mannerisms either. And yet, it has won a disproportionate amount of times, which excludes randomized choices.

Perihelion is flustered and annoyed by the time it does win, only to be told by the clone that the rules aren’t what it thought. For a moment it forgets itself, forgets it isn’t a ship that can broadcast to a general feed, and doing the equivalent just sends its next words out to every device in the vicinity, including as a text to the nearest passerby’s phone.

I will not participate in rigged games. There are established rules. The establishedRules.file it sends appears next, though rather than attaching the file properly, it comes through as a text full of 𖡄𖡄𖡄𖡄𖡄𖡄𖡄𖡄 and other broken characters, and is only clipped by the character limit.
