A bit of a rewrite from what I originally had!
Hifumi, at the encouragement of his friends and his sister, entered the world of hosting at 21 years old, having been a very popular host for eight years by the time subversion rolled around.
Still has a close relationship with both his sister (Eiko) and his mother (Shirori) and often posts on social media with his sister for “collaboration” projects - they’re both influencers in the fashion/makeup space to put it simply.
While he makes more than enough money to live comfortably, he’s always donated a lot of it and spends time volunteering where some of his hobbies like cooking can be put to use. His family grew up needing the extra help at times - so he likes to pay it forward since he can afford to do that now.
A pretty popular name in Golden! Except he doesn’t host to get over his fear of women; he just acts like his natural self and is noted for having a level of authentic charm. Not only does he just treat his clients - no matter their gender - like they’re special (because they are!) but he just treats them like regular people if they’re looking for that, even going as far as paying off tabs if they can’t afford to do so themselves.

His popularity remained, though he more publically started to come out with some personal details about his life as he got older, like being nonbinary and using she/he pronouns and his sexuality - being gay, yet working primarily with women as a host.
Worked more on being healthier with his drinking habits, given the need to drink due to his work field...though he did pick up smoking a little.
His sister started a family, which he helps her and her wife with.
Never settled down in a relationship of his own due to his career and the difficulties of finding a partner that would be alright with him working as a host.
Hifumi has now retired from her career as a host, currently being 39.
Still pretty popular, and will still meet up with old clients from time to time but...doesn’t work as a host or an escort or anything like that anymore - just visits them as friends.
She’s still helping his sister and her wife out with their family, and babysits their kids on occasion - you can see him walking around Spirale with them sometimes.
Has yet to find a solid relationship for himself yet - but he’s dated a few people. Nothing just stuck for long.
Now owns a restaurant in Golden, which is doing quite well thanks to his popularity as a host carrying over into his new career, thanks to some of his clients. It’s a more healthy-eats style restaurant, but sticks closely to comfort foods. An hour before close each night, he lets people who need it come in to eat for free.
Grew out his hair, so he’s got a ponytail that rests on his shoulder. Kinda has that older hot guy - but in a gender way - look going for her.
Still posts online and does an occasional ad for makeup and fashion brands, usually higher end ones. Especially for suits - which is what she wears on a day-by-day basis.
