; tagging : @radiomogai | @acronym-chaos ; we've been called and considered a picky eater for the entirety of our life so far, and even after accepting most reasons are because of sensory issues orr trauma ( even though simply not liking the taste should've always been enough ) we still have moments of doubt or self deprecation when we can't eat a certain food. and the " picky eater " term certainly doesn't help, not even including how it's been used and is used to demean us. and myles feels very strongly and passionately about how the term of " picky eater " and all the things that come behind it are based in a lot of harmful things, and is far too normalized. so myles has made ivamdula, it's not necessarily an alternative to picky eater ( selective eater is what we find is ?? better ?? which is what the words in ivamdula are from ) more of js something to have, more of a word to describe an experience, maybe even as a sort of pride thing. that yes xe is incredibly selective and specific about a lot of the things xe eats, but that doesn't mean xe is picky or difficult or simply a complainer !! :D ( sorry for the ramble heh )
