no one simply received a paper invitation in the mail. instead, every household in carroll received a sleek black box hand-delivered by courier, elegant enough to feel more like a luxury gift than an invite. tied with an ivory ribbon and stamped in gold, the box opened to reveal a cream-and-gold reception card, a private video invitation from joel and ingrid themselves, and a miniature bottle of champagne tucked carefully inside. beneath it all sat one final card announcing the evening would be catered by birch’s barbeque kitchen.

joel has invited the entire town because, naturally, he wants to show off his wife. the event will run from may 8th through may 16th on the dash, though the actual reception itself takes place on saturday, may 9th.
joel and ingrid share a home in port carroll, and the reception will be held there. there will be catered food, plenty to drink, and possibly a surprise or two throughout the night. overall, the vibe is less formal sit-down reception and more massive house party at a very expensive home.
all of the truly valuable items have been put away and locked up in the primary bedroom, so feel free to have your characters move around and enjoy the space.
