Despite the fact that shelves around him were no longer shaking, David was sure he could still feel the ground moving beneath his feet. It was only when he felt his hand begin to go numb that he realized he was gripping the wall with too much force, and he quickly let go so he could begin to rub feeling back into his palm. After a brief moment he checked over himself, quickly coming to the conclusion that he was unharmed, and prayed a silent thank you to whoever it was still listening. The young man then patted the pocket of his khakis, checking for his phone and whipping it out, only to have his heart begin to beat irregularly as he realized there was no way for him to get into contact with his family. Shoving the currently useless device into his pocket, he carefully made his way through the shop– taking notice of the extreme damage that was done, only to stop short. From the sight before him, there was no way he would be leaving until help came; unless his stubbornness won out and convinced him to do something that would be impossible in this human form. As he began to weigh the pros and cons, David heard something behind him, quickly realizing he wasn’t alone– and whoever it was could be hurt. “Hello?” He called out, his voice filled with worry as he began to search for the person. “If you’re stuck, keep calling out– I’ll do what I can to help.”
