Everett nodded and grabbed his hunting gear from his horse. "I'll be back in less than an hour, hopefully with something good," he said as he waved and took off into the forest. He searched and tracked, but tonight wasn't his night, and he came back to camp with one skinny rabbit after an hour. "Seems like the wildlife all went somewhere else tonight," he said as he started to skin and cut the rabbit for Eleanor.
Eleanor casted a sympathetic smile, she had set up the camp and had a nice fire going. Along with taking care of the horses, getting them untacked and hitched.
“Rabbit is still better than nothing,” she watched as Everett expertly skinned the animal. “Cook it with some thyme and salt, it still tastes delicious.”
While she had been working on setting up camp, she had wanted to ask more about him. After all, she would be working with him for a couple days, this treasure was not going to be quick to find. She hoped that he wouldn’t be offended by her nosiness.
“What else do you do for a living Mr. Everett?” She asked before a humored smile touched her mouth. “I assume it’s not running around the nation, following a random strange in treasure hunts.”
She was making fun of herself at this point, she had hired other folks off the street before but they were never quite like the man before her. He was... different, that much she could tell.
