Today I'm grateful for;
1. the beautiful city of Seattle. We held our Super Bowl victory parade today. It was bitter cold but clear as a bell. There were 700,000 people lining the streets and the celebration was amazing.
2. the opportunity to explore the main branch of the Everett Public Library. I had over an hour to kill while waiting for my daughter so spent time wandering the shelves. I thumbed through an interesting books about etiquette in Arab counties,one on how to politely get out of uncomfortable "foot in mouth" conversations, and a third with advice on processing a divorce that happens later in your life.
3. a cup of juice left in the freezer to help soothe my sore throat.
4. the jingle bell on my cats collar so I know when she's nearby
5. my warm red scarf and toasty gloves.
