My evergreen experiments continue
Guys!!!!
I’m so excited. My partner and I went for a short forest walk with my parents today and the forest gifted us with a bunch of red and white spruce which is exactly what I was looking for! As soon as they are dry, they are going into a container with some juniper berries and olive oil for a couple of weeks. (You need to make sure that they are completely dry to avoid spoilage) The finished product will be made into a salve and used to scent some beeswax candles! I was worried that the fresh snow might have buried all of the forest offerings but there were fresh springs sitting in the snow. Such a blessing!
