When he opened the motel door, he hadn’t exactly been expecting what he saw. Of course, in that moment of confusion, all he could offer her was a simple,   “ Can I help you? ”  at which time he learned her name. And, for some reason, it was familiar. Holt. Why did he know that name? He’d bet a fair amount of money that he’s known someone named Holt, but, for the love of all that’s good, he can’t remember who.

His eyes move from her to glance around her, down the line of motel room doors and through the parking lot. Then he gestures for her to come inside. She looked young and a little scared, maybe. He certainly couldn’t fight his need to help her.

As soon as Dean’s gotten the door closed behind her, he turns. The confusion still hasn’t left his features, but he’s determined to get answers.
