hey you know that post where u raged about annabeth being mischaracterized in fandom because i thought i should let you know that i feel it in my very soul n it was so nice to see it from someone else because i feel like i am the honest to gods only person on earth who feels deeply uncomfortable when people are talking about how girly!annabeth is sugary nauseatingly sweet and curls her hair every morning i wanna punch my fist through the wall so. i'm happy you Feel Me.

you are not alone trust me, i hate it sooooo much, i have read so many arguments and so many posts about annabeth and at this point i’m ready to burst

like what really annoys me too is that everyone’s like “oh we read about annabeth going on a date” and “oohh my god we got to see more than three percent of annabeth’s emotional range” so now she’s automatically a girly, weak-kneed, damsel in distress, who is absolutely and utterly floored if percy smiles at her? please, please, not even close

i’ve thought about this for awhile, and i hold the argument that since we got reyna and piper in HoO, everyone was automatically like, “uh oh, strong women, and drew is the bitchy women, and hazel is the young girl, so who’s going to be the girly girl?” and so everyone just decided to drop fifteen pounds of makeup on annabeth for some gods forsaken reason that i’m sure athena would have every single one of our heads for

before people @ me i’m not saying annabeth can’t be girly, and i’m not saying being girly is a bad thing, but just because we might have seen her wear a dress like once doesn’t automatically make her girly

women where dresses all the time, it doesn’t make them girly, some women burn themselves every time they use a straightener, some women hate heels no matter how many times they wear them, some women like make up but utterly despise putting it on, and annabeth is a lot closer to those types of women than to anything the pjo fandom has created

i’m so glad you feel the same way because annabeth is one of the best female characters and idols of my life and i’d hate to think i was the only one who cared that her character was being twisted so drastly
