In light of reinterpreting "social distancing" to "physical distancing" and "social connection", my wife has also made an observation about the terms "essential" and "unessential." We have to be careful not to feel or make people feel essential or unessential. We are all essential. Socially. Relationally. Economically. Practically. There are definitely jobs that meet the need for the moment and there are reasons that most people, for now, need to contribute to the general welfare of the public by staying home, but all of us are needed, necessary and help by doing our part, whether by working or staying home. Productivity and value are not the same. Everyone is valuable and we contribute to the value of all by sharing the burden of public health by either serving others at work or at home. #everyoneisessential #essential #physicaldistancesocialconnection #stayconnected https://www.instagram.com/p/B-Cw73Ih2gd/?igshid=148vjmpvnwfhr
