Yeah, there REALLY needs to be more diversity in games. I mean other than Kitana, Sonya Blade and Mileena (from Mortal Kombat), Lara Croft, Mona Sax (from Max Payne), Joanna Dark (from Perfect Dark), Liara T'soni and FemShep (from Mass Effect), Jill Valentine, Ada Wong, and Claire Redfield (from Resident Evil), Yuna (Final Fantasy X), Heather Mason (from Silent Hill 3), Faith Connors (from Mirror's Edge), Rayne (from BloodRayne), Bayonetta, Kasumi (from Dead or Alive), Catwoman (in Arkham City), Lightning (Final Fantasy XIII), Alice (from Alice: Madness Returns), Samus (from Metroid), Nilin (from Remember Me), and Zoey (from Left 4 Dead), there just aren't many options to play as a female protagonist. Unless, of course, you include the option to play as a female in Dragon Age and Dragon Age 2, all 5 Elder Scrolls Games, World of Warcraft, Saint's Row 2, 3, and 4, Fable 2 and 3, Jade Empire, Borderlands, Portal and Portal 2, Neverwinter Nights 1 and 2, Lollipop Chainsaw and a few other games.
But basically, as you can see, there are essentially NO options to play as female characters, and THIS NEEDS TO CHANGE!
