Let us start off this extremely sad abandoned location by taking a look at some exterior photos of the home!!
Rose’s parents bought the little house in the 1950s, a modest home with a warm heart and a promise of new beginnings. It was here that Rose grew up, surrounded by laughter and the comforting rhythm of family life. Years later, after her parents passed away, she inherited the home and filled it with new memories alongside her husband, until the day tragedy struck, and he was gone.
In her grief, Rose covered their wedding portrait in the living room, unable to face the reminder of what she had lost. The silence in the house grew heavy, pressing against the walls like a weight she could no longer bear. Loneliness crept into every corner, so she asked her brother, Michael, to move in, hoping his presence would bring life back to the home that once felt so full.
But time has a way of moving on even when hearts are slow to heal. As Rose’s health began to fail, she left the house she had loved so dearly and moved into an assisted living facility. A few short years later, she passed away, leaving the home, and her memories, to Michael.
Alone and growing frail himself, Michael struggled to care for both the house and his own needs. The once-proud home began to fade: trees grew wild, swallowing the front door; rain seeped through a tired roof; and the ceiling was collapsing under years of neglect. His favorite spot on the couch became worn and sunken, a quiet witness to the passing days. Dust and clutter gathered, the bathroom fell into ruin, and hints of hoarding began to appear, echoes of a man slowly losing his grip on the world around him.
When Michael too passed away, the remaining family couldn’t bring themselves to enter the house. It had become a time capsule of sorrow and decay. They decided to sell it for the land alone. The old 1950s home was eventually torn down, its walls and memories scattered to the wind. In its place now stands a new, much larger house, modern and gleaming, unaware of the quiet lives once lived where it stands.

Let's begin this incredible location by taking a look at the ground floor of this abandoned time capsule!!
Sitting abandoned for well over a decade this farmhouse and barn are in pretty rough shape. The house has holes in the roof, with mold and peeling paint throughout but the interior is in surprisingly good condition considering. The last occupants left a lot of vintage furniture behind but few personal items. It sits along a quiet road hidden by the trees and fortunately has not been found by vandals. The barn is in even worse condition, with floors collapsing and the foundation crumbling.
The large 100 plus acre property sold for a few million dollars over a decade ago and is likely worth a whole lot more now! Bought by an investor, using it as a place to park their money while the land inevitably continues to rise in value.
Surprisingly, this property is on a heritage list and hopefully will be saved one day but it would have to be soon since the home continues to decay as time passes.

Moving along, let's now have a look at the office and everything they left behind!!
Approaching this motel from the outside it actually doesn't look too bad, even though it has already been abandoned for almost a year. It was a 3 star motel but reading some of the reviews, it sounded like it was much worse! The guests had complained about smelly rooms, broken light fixtures, dirty sheets and televisions that didn't work properly.
Upon going inside I noticed that just about everything had been left behind, from furniture to personal belongings. It appeared as though some of the rooms had been rented by long term tenants while others were still used for short term stays. But the smell in some of the rooms is something I will likely never forget!
I don't know whether it's management, poor maintenance or changing consumer preferences, but motels like this have been on their way out for a number of years. They are being replaced by much larger corporate hotels that they just can't compete with. What do you think is the reason?

Let's begin this new location by taking a look at the basement where the fire started!
Built in the early to mid 1900s sits this once beautiful home isolated in the country, the nearby city has expanded over recent years and has encroached to its doorstep.
Fifteen years ago, there was a medical clinic that operated out of the building. It became abandoned for a short while around 2011 before being converted into a dog grooming business. Then tragically sometime in 2022 a fire started in the basement of the home and it was once again left without occupants.

Let's begin this location by taking a look at some exterior photos!!
Here we have another abandoned house that looks as though it was vacated around Christmas time. There is a calendar on the wall from 2014 and it is opened up to the month of December. The house is semi packed up with a couple of rooms with boxes full of items left behind. Some of them include Christmas decorations like wreaths, lights and dickens houses there is also a Christmas tree in the basement that looks as though it was set up when the owners moved out. There are so many other interesting items to see in this house but you will have to watch the video to see what they all are.
I had originally driven by this home a few months ago and at the time it looked active, or at least the property did. Because of this I was very surprised to see the calendar from 8 years ago! I really am curious as to what happened to the people that lived here, why would they leave so much behind.
Built in 1975, this house screams discreet 70s decor, with lots of beige paint, tiled bathtub enclosures, hardwood floors and even some wood panelling for good measure. This property is up for redevelopment and the home will be demolished in the very near future!

But there was one amazing thing about it, the owner was a model railroader and it looks as though he really loved his hobby judging by the extreme setup that he created!
